Does Abdul Kalam deserve a 2nd term?

So folks its been a while since I conducted a viewer opinion post. So now is a good time to so. President Abdul Kalam’s current term is a just year away from expiring. So I would like to know your thoughts on this topic. Do you think President Kalam deserves a second term? Only Dr. Rajendra Prasad has received re-nomination to the post of President. However, unlike past Presidents Abdul Kalam was chosen unanimously to the post by both the BJP and the Congress. Besides, his favorable status among the general public adds to his positives. Please let me know as to your thoughts.

K.R.Narayanan was also chosen by both BJP and the Congress

@asdf – True so I take that back. But the difference remains that Narayanan later fell out with the BJP, while I feel Kalam still enjoys the respect and trust of both the Congress and BJP.

Campaign: Kalam for the Second Term

Dr. Kalam had piloted the Republic through many political storms and provided the nation sense of security and stability. Notwithstanding his many innovative ideas and Science Policies for the futuristic development of the country, Dr. Kalam had guided the nation with aplomb. He has prompted us to play the Politics of Development, and given the Moon Mission “Chandrayana” still to be completed.

During the Kalam’s presidency, the Rashtrapati Bhavan had received tens of thousands
School children particularly physically challenged and disadvantaged. And by installing energy saving devices and non-conventional sources of energy, Dr. Kalam had saved millions in state expenses.

Dr. Kalam visited every state of the Republic. A proactive President he had inter-acted with one million youth and have become the role model for India’ upcoming generation.

He has addressed our soldiers in the deep snowy heights in Siachen, and has sat on the dusty sand of villages destroyed in the Tsunami on the shores of Indian Ocean. And had flown over thirty countries abroad.

A poet, thinker and writer Kalam has authored many the bestseller books now available in most Indian languages – including Hindi, Kannda, Tamil, Marathi and Malayalam.

We have conducted a public survey of citizens of all walks of life – men, women and children -academics, students, teachers, engineers, scientists, villagers, school children, house wives, doctors and nurses. About ten percent were either unaware or not sure but almost ninety percent Indians polled expressed wish to see Dr. Kalam in Rashtrapati Bhavan for the Second Term. Kalam has won hearts and minds of the nation and is the most popular First Citizen of India.

The Scientist Sage Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s presidency ends early next year. In order to strengthened stability of the Indian Republic, we call upon you to support the Campaign: Kalam for the Second Term.

Incidently,it was I who had suggested Dr. Kalam’s name to Atalji. Dhirendra Sharma
