Accenture selected for AI-Indian merger
Consulting firm Accenture and its partner Ambit Corporate Finance have been selected to prepare the road-map for the proposed merger between Air India and Indian. This decision was taken by the Air India Board sub-committee. The merger process was started after Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel decided to merge the two airlines due to the competitive environment in the aviation sector.
The consulting firms have been given 3 months to prepare the road-map. Accenture will also suggest to the board as to how and when the joint public sector unit will enter the market through an Initial Public Offering (IPO).
