If you can’t join them break them!

With MDMK announcing the other day its intension of continuing in the Democratic Progressive Alliance (DPA), it was certain that DPI led by Thirumavalavan won't be able to get many seats from the alliance. So Thirumavalavan appealed to the PMK to come out of the DPA and lead an 'alternative front' for the coming Assembly elections. However, he also said that if for some reason the PMK wasn't willing to join him, he may decide to support PMK in those seats it contests. To be honest, I really don't see the PMK coming out of the DPA. For the past few elections PMK was smart enough to contest elections in alliance with the DMK or ADMK . This led to a sharp increase in its seat tally in both the assembly and parliment.
